All office staff are bilingual and so will be able to help you with any queries that you might have. On you first day you will be made to feel right at home and given an Orientation tour and any information that will be necessary for the duration of your stay. There is also a well-stocked school library for you to make use of with plenty of Spanish books and materials, a kitchen for preparing snacks and hammocks for a well-earned siesta

  • Facilities and Services - Amistad has a vast outdoor area of 5 acres with the buildings that make up the Spanish school spread throughout. There are around 50 different kinds of native trees and 80 different species of birds within the grounds and there is a large focus on the promotion and development of programmes for the conservation and protection of animal species and the environment. The school grounds contain a cafeteria for all students and internet access.
  • Teaching Methods - At Amistad there is a very supporting staff to make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. All are experienced and educated professionals. Classes have a warm and inviting energy about them and teachers encourage student participation from the very beginning
  • Courses Offered - This Spanish learning centre has a General Spanish Course which you can study on its own or combined with 'Latino Culture' which includes two hours of classes such as dancing, cookery, art or history, 'Sports and Athletics' where you can learn the expressions and vocabulary associated with a chosen sport and 'Nature Lovers' which includes trips to Simón Bolívar Zoo, Irazu and Poas Volcanoes and Fabio Baudrit Agro-Ecological Experimental Station.
